A Thank-you from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

Thanks to your generous help, we were able to raise almost $1000 for Cystic Fibrosis (CF) on May 14th during the Cocktails for a Cause fundraiser. On the evening of May 14th, a great crowd of fun locals and CF supporters joined together at Lures Bar and Grille to raise money for CF.

All proceeds from the raffle and a portion of the restaurant’s sales were donated to this very important cause.

We appreciate your support in helping to raise money for CF. Our contribution to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will help to support FDA approval of a vari-ety of new drugs and therapies that are expected to increase the life expectancy and quality of life of the many people who live with CF. Because of the generosity of people and companies like you, the CFF has been able take GREAT STRIDES towards finding a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
Thank you,
Megan King

Cocktails for Cause – A Great Time All ‘Round

You may remember Megan King. She met another Megan, Megan West and got involved supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  Megan’s foray into event fund-raising was  a smashing success in Crownsville as  she joined with the folks at Lures to present Cocktails for a Cause on May 14.  The cocktail party to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation featured cocktails, Lures great menu, and wonderful items donated by friends and area businesses.cf-women

Not only did everyone have lots of fun, when it was over, they had raised nearly $1000.   Lures played a big part in the success of the event.  They donated the cost of a tent just in case it rained and generally helped throughout the evening.  The photo gives you an idea of the fun.

Congratulations to everyone involved in helping a great cause.
