St. Paul’s Anglican Church invites you to be part of their community for Holy Week. Here’s their newsletter of the week’s celebrations.
April 5th – Palm Sunday/30th Anniversary
St. Paul’s Anglican Church will celebrate its 30th Anniversary immediately after the 11:00 Palm Sunday service with a covered dish brunch in our parish hall.
April 9th – Maundy Thursday
Our choir will perform their Lenten Cantata “Colors of Grace” at 7:00 p.m. This 25 minute concert features music sharing Christ’s teachings of service, obedience, humility, and forgiveness. The concert will be followed by a Holy Eucharist service and our traditional “Stripping of the Altar”.
April 10th – Good Friday
A Service entitled “The Seven Last Words” will be held from Noon until 3:00. This service combines traditional hymns and readings from the bible focused on Christ’s passion and crucifixion. Come for all of the service, or drop in anytime between noon and 3:00.
April 11th – Saturday
At sunset, we will have an Easter Vigil service and Holy Eucharist. The Easter Vigil is a traditional service in which we bring the light of Christ, symbolized by a newly-lit fire, into the darkened church and light our Paschal Candle for Easter. We will gather at 7:15 by the fire.
